Scholarship Program This Michigan Family Support Council established a scholarship fund as a result of its first annual silent auction held at the 22nd Annual Conference. The next scholarships will be awarded for the 26th Annual Conference to be held at Boyne Highland Resort on October 8-10, 2008. A scholarship committee was established to set forth the application process and to make the awards to the successful applicants. View our scholarship winners from past conferences! The Scholarship Committee with approval from the full Board of Directors will award scholarships in the amount of $200.00 for the 26th Annual Conference. Those wishing to apply for one of the scholarships may obtain an application on the Mi-Support web page. A copy will also be furnished to, the President of the Friend of the Court Association (FOCA), Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan (PAAM) and to the IV-D Director of the Michigan Office of Child Support. All applications must be completed and signed by the applicant, approved by their supervisor and/or department head or chief judge and returned to the Scholarship Committee on or before the close of business on August 1, 2008 at the address herein. Criteria for selection will be based upon all of the following: The local funding unit has insufficient funds with which to send the applicant to this conference, and the completeness and content of the application submitted. Selections will be made by a selection committee and their decision is final. Successful applicants are expected to attend the entire conference and stay onsite at Boyne Highlands. Reservations must be made in each applicants' name. |
